Welcome to The Willow Foundation
The Willow Foundation, a non-profit, registered charitable organization, was established in 2002. Governed by a volunteer board of directors, funds are raised to further enhance the lives of seniors and disabled adults in the Halton Region’s three long-term care homes, and the Adult Day programs. It is our privilege to give back to this wonderful group of people who continue to make significant contributions to our lives. Your generous donations support many social enhancements and programs within each home including our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony each December and the Strawberry Social each June where residents enjoy live entertainment and special treats.
Among other initiatives this past year, The Willow Foundation supported the opening of a Tuck Shop at Creek Way Village in Burlington and Post Inn Village in Oakville. The residents of Allendale Village in Milton continue to enjoy the tuck shop they have had for many years. Our biannual In Touch newsletter facilitated the reunion of two long time friends who lived on separate floors in one home without knowing this until one read about the other in the newsletter and made contact.
We appreciate the kindness of the many individuals who give to The Willow Foundation and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone very much for their generosity which ultimately benefits the lives of many seniors and disabled adults. We simply couldn’t do this without you. The staff at each of the homes, and adult day programs provide a lovely and nurturing environment for their residents and are to be commended for the highest quality of care they provide.
